Everything you need to know about Papasito Cigars.
Buying Papasito
Yes, if you’re in Indonesia. Our cigars are sold through our online store at order.papasitocigars.com, which delivers within Indonesia. You pay when you place your order, before we dispatch it. You need to be 21 or over to buy.
A full box holds 20 cigars. The standard box is cardboard, and our hand-painted wooden collector’s box costs extra. You’ll find prices for both on our online store. If you run a venue or shop, those are also our recommended retail prices, and you can ask us for partner pricing.
No. Tobacco rules make sending cigars across borders difficult, so we only sell them within Indonesia, to customers and venues alike. Our merch is a different story and ships worldwide from the merch shop. If you run a venue in Indonesia and would like to stock Papasito, get in touch.
Bars, lounges and shops across Bali and the rest of Indonesia carry our cigars. The current list, with addresses, is on our stockists page.
About Papasito Cigars
Yes — every Papasito cigar is hand-rolled by skilled artisans in Jember, Java. Hand-rolling isn’t just tradition; it allows the roller to feel the tension of the filler, ensure an even draw, and produce a consistent burn that machine-made cigars simply cannot replicate. Each cigar is inspected before it leaves the factory.
Papasito was born in Bali, conceived to bring a premium cigar experience to the island’s world-class venues and lifestyle scene. Our cigars are crafted in Jember, East Java, Indonesia’s leading cigar tobacco region. The fertile volcanic soil and tropical climate produce leaves of exceptional quality, which our master rollers transform into the finished product.
Most premium cigars come from Cuba, Nicaragua, or the Dominican Republic. Papasito is something different — a genuinely premium product born out of Indonesia’s rich tobacco heritage, brought to life with a brand identity built for the modern luxury market.
- The tobacco: Havana-seed leaves grown in Jember’s volcanic soil — full character, none of the import markup
- The craft: Hand-rolled by experienced artisans with decades of tradition behind them
- The brand: Clean, confident, and designed to sit alongside the world’s best — not look out of place next to them
- The partnership model: We don’t just sell boxes. We work closely with each venue to ensure presentation, pricing, and the guest experience are right
Product & Quality
We use Havana-seed tobacco grown in Jember, Indonesia’s leading cigar tobacco region. A cigar has three components, and we take all three seriously:
- Wrapper: The outermost leaf — either a Maduro (dark, fermented) or Natural Havana — which contributes significantly to aroma and the first impression of flavour
- Binder: A robust leaf that holds the filler together and influences burn consistency
- Filler: Aged long-leaf Havana-seed tobacco that forms the body of the cigar and defines its core flavour and strength
We currently offer two cigars — each distinct in size, wrapper, and character, but both built to the same standard of quality.
| Detail | Short King | Sugar Daddy |
|---|---|---|
| Ring Gauge | 60 | 52 |
| Length | 110mm | 140mm |
| Wrapper | Maduro Havana | Natural Havana |
| Strength | Medium to Full, a touch stronger | Medium to Full |
| Notes | Dark chocolate, espresso, roasted nuts, warm spice | Sweet cedar, creamy earth, smooth spice finish |
Both the Short King and Sugar Daddy sit in the medium-to-full strength range. They have real presence and you’ll feel them, but neither is designed to overwhelm. For someone who smokes occasionally or is newer to cigars, we’d suggest starting with the Sugar Daddy: its Natural Havana wrapper delivers a smoother, more approachable experience. The Short King’s Maduro wrapper makes it a touch stronger, with a deeper, richer profile suited to those who prefer more body and strength.
Cigars are a living product — they breathe, age, and change over time. To keep them at their best, store in a humidor at:
- Humidity: 65–72% relative humidity
- Temperature: 18–21°C

Yes. Presentation matters, and a cigar sitting loose on a shelf doesn’t do justice to the product — or your venue. We offer a branded Papasito countertop humidor on a rent-to-own basis, which keeps your initial investment low while ensuring the cigars are stored correctly and displayed in a way that feels premium. It also acts as a conversation piece — guests notice it.
We keep the process straightforward for our partners:
- Payment: You stock Papasito on consignment and pay monthly for what you’ve sold. There’s no minimum on your first order or on reorders
- Delivery: Free to partner venues in Bali, with orders arriving the same day or within 3 days. Elsewhere in Indonesia, delivery takes 3 to 7 days and the cost is calculated at checkout
- Returns: You can return unsold stock in good condition. Damaged goods can come back within 15 days of receipt; just send us a photo and we’ll sort it
- Reorders: Reorder through our partner portal. We’ll check in regularly to make sure you never run out, and we aim to turn reorders around quickly
- Compliance: Venues are responsible for their own licences and for selling only to adults 21 and over
